It's 12:57 p.m. on a Saturday night. I'm tired, yet I haven't gone to bed yet. Lately I've been feeling a lack of... well, a lack of life. Maybe also a lack of Meaning. I know that I help people during the day, but what am I doing for myself? Not a whole lot really. I'm working a lot. Which is fine, I need the money. I laugh at that line though because every person overly tired, cranky, unhappy, and antisocial is an over worked person caught up in the crazy web of society...and they always say "i need the money". That though, truthfully isn't a lie. With out that silly green piece of paper we couldn't have anything.
Anyways, I have the next two days off, kinda...I still work Monday but not until 5:30. So, in the mean time..I am going to try and do things for myself, the first thing...get some sleep! After that, start doing yoga again, eating healthy like I love to do, read a book or two, take some pictures, Go HIKING!! and last but certainly not least, I really miss looking at the stars.
If you read this, who ever you are...please remember to take time for yourself :) We only have one life on this planet, and why waist it in the constant battle for paper.

Quick drive..
I was driving to Roswell, Thursday morning and as the sun was slowly creeping up I got to see the world come to life. Something I haven't seen in some time. The colors changed, the sky brightened and then I came out of the valley where only a little red shown through the cracks of the hills and then my eyes beheld something so majestic the only thing I could think to say was, "wow". I'd never seen a sight like this before. I've always seen sunsets but never a sunrise like this. Frankly I don't think I've ever really seen the sun rise. 20 yrs of life and this was my first true sunrise.

Loving myself...
Okay, so the other day I decided to....take some fun pictures of myself. Some my mother found to be..."high rental property photos", I on the other hand felt they were more creative. I've always had body issues, to the extent that I'm not always particularly happy with how I look. Well, this helped me like "me" a little more. I am coming to appreciate my curves, and I really have always liked being different, to the sense of not being skinny, having my attitude and just taking life, all of life in and enjoying it. anyways here are a few shots :) mind you, I do love roses, which I used in most of my pictures. Also, these were taking in my apartment so you see bits of my life in the background.

Crazy Vegas!
I recently went to Las Vegas Nevada! One word to describe it..obnoxious. The town anyways. The first day upon arriving in this crazy town, I went walking with my mom down the strip. Overwhelmed with everything around me, I tried to remain calm and take pictures. Everything was well until I experience the "weirdos" of Vegas. I won't even go into detail but lets just say I had to regain my cool, and get off the strip and roam Sephora, pretending to be interested in make-up.
Continuing on...
During my stay in Vegas I was able to capture some pretty amazing moments, at of course my favorite -crazy angles-, vibrant colors and even a few in black and white. This town can be amazing, but for a small town girl it's just way over the top!
Here are a few photos... Enjoy!!

Stellar Sunday
Today has been rather relaxing for me. I have fully cleaned my room and it's now fully functional. The flow is so much better, less clutter and the walls are covered with all kinds of things. Pure joy. I would show you a picture of my room, but it's my personal space so you'll just have to take my word for it that it's clean. I've also been eating cherries all day, I have a beautiful apple sitting next to them, my music has been playing non stop and I'm completely content.
--Photography for me is like breathing to everybody else. It's something that comes natural, though with modern technology of course it's now made public for the world to see. I often find myself taking mental photographs during the day of the most random things. The angle of the road while driving, the facial expression of customers or of those just passing by, or just the other day I have this full blown mental snapshop of the road construction man waving frantically at me telling me to slow down when I was doing the speed limit!! That was just such a great way to start my day, with just myself and this waving maniac on the road who then reached for his radio and then I really hit the brakes because I don't want the cops after me. I was totally and completely infuriated with this man. Now I laugh at it but after I passed I said I hope a biker hits you! *mentally really thinking at least a simple graze or something!! Jerk!*

My other skill...
So, this would be my other skill..or attempt at another skill. I've always enjoyed being creative whether it be with a camera, pencils, crayons, paper or paint. So this evening I decided to paint. That picture next to it was my inspiration. The inspiration being an idea for a possible tattoo to represent what I love most..Roses, Photography (the rose is coming out of a polaroid) and then my grandpa's initials. The actual tattoo I got is different from this but I was digging around in my closet yesterday looking for my art supplies and whala! I found that picture and knew instantly what I wanted to paint. I'm thinking of taking some art classes from our college here in Ruidoso, since I have No earthly idea as to what I would like to do with my life at this very moment. So why not have a little fun? Hope you enjoy.
