Stellar Sunday

Today has been rather relaxing for me. I have fully cleaned my room and it's now fully functional. The flow is so much better, less clutter and the walls are covered with all kinds of things. Pure joy. I would show you a picture of my room, but it's my personal space so you'll just have to take my word for it that it's clean. I've also been eating cherries all day, I have a beautiful apple sitting next to them, my music has been playing non stop and I'm completely content.

--Photography for me is like breathing to everybody else. It's something that comes natural, though with modern technology of course it's now made public for the world to see. I often find myself taking mental photographs during the day of the most random things. The angle of the road while driving, the facial expression of customers or of those just passing by, or just the other day I have this full blown mental snapshop of the road construction man waving frantically at me telling me to slow down when I was doing the speed limit!! That was just such a great way to start my day, with just myself and this waving maniac on the road who then reached for his radio and then I really hit the brakes because I don't want the cops after me. I was totally and completely infuriated with this man. Now I laugh at it but after I passed I said I hope a biker hits you! *mentally really thinking at least a simple graze or something!! Jerk!*

“The fruit of self-understanding is self-acceptance. The fruit of self-acceptance is self-love. The fruit of self-love is love for the world. The fruit of love for the world is service to the world. The fruit of service to the world is peace”

My other skill...

So, this would be my other skill..or attempt at another skill. I've always enjoyed being creative whether it be with a camera, pencils, crayons, paper or paint. So this evening I decided to paint. That picture next to it was my inspiration. The inspiration being an idea for a possible tattoo to represent what I love most..Roses, Photography (the rose is coming out of a polaroid) and then my grandpa's initials. The actual tattoo I got is different from this but I was digging around in my closet yesterday looking for my art supplies and whala! I found that picture and knew instantly what I wanted to paint. I'm thinking of taking some art classes from our college here in Ruidoso, since I have No earthly idea as to what I would like to do with my life at this very moment. So why not have a little fun? Hope you enjoy.

before the forest closed...

Not that many people are reading this darn blog but what the heck I guess I should just keep at it. So just the other day I had the good pleasure of hanging out with my gal pal Daisy. We went up to Monjeau, this beautiful place here in Ruidoso New Mexico. We each brought our camera's, not fully aware of what we would be doing. I started off by taking pictures of the Aspen tree's that people have over time carved different things into them. In a way it's really interesting, but on the other hand I wish people didn't do it. As time went on Daisy was doing her self portraits, which she is very, very good at. She helped me with my camera and reminded me how to use the manual setting on the darn thing and Whala! I started running around, laying down, skipping around, doing weird poses and just having a blast! The result of my creative splurg was....

the end....

Rose

It's worth a thousand glances
Worth a million smells
It's touch as soft as cotton
It's stem as hard as rock
The green brings out the red
The red shines brighter than the sun
It's scent fills the Heavens and all the cracks around it
Creates smiles
Heals broken hearts
Brings Warmth
Brightens Joy
Opens hearts to Love
Is there for us in loss
Cradles the tears
Even in death it glows
In dark it shines
In the light it's soft but vivid
In my Heart it's Loved Forever

Music is the Key

Listening to some music this evening, and this would be my combination of three songs that are turning into my favorites...to me this speaks of several moments in my life, all that have occured rather recently, or within the past year. This is why I love music because when words fail me, I find them in a song, or in this case 3 songs. Enjoy!

subtracked any possibility of me don't ask because i don't have the answers i'm hangin up the phone, yeah it's over, goodbye. U go & ugrow stronger from ur past. I always go behond the fighting borders 4 those around me but I've sailed a 1,000 ships to u & none of my messages have gotten through.
I wouldn't wanna be anybody else, you've judged me & I've never faltered..I'm no beauty queen I'm just beautiful me! Who says ur not perfect, worth it, the only one that's hurting!

May 1st!

Lets see, here in New Mexico we have the craziest weather! Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day, lovely and warm...though today on the other hand its about 40 degrees and it snowed this morning! I just love how the weather operates. Speaking of weirdness, I want to share with you my picture of "Summer on Winter" that I took about two years ago. I hope you enjoy it, now I have to go find it on my computer!
